About the Speaker

John is the Chief Banking Officer and one of the original founders of Thread Bank. Prior to joining Thread, John served as the Middle Tennessee Market President for Renasant Bank, a southeastern regional community bank. Before joining Renasant in 2019, John spent over a decade with Stifel Financial and a predecessor, Sterne Agee & Leach, covering financial institutions in various capacities. While at Stifel, John led the depository fixed income sales team and was also responsible for integrating Stifel’s fixed income depository business with the KBW, a Stifel-owned depository investment banking business. John began his career at SunTrust in the Corporate and Investment Banking group after receiving his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia in 1999.
